GARETH EVANS
Principal Engineer

Gareth is a structures engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry as a structural analyst, delegation authority, technical lead and project manager. He has worked for major primes such as Airbus and Boeing, as well as 2nd tier design services suppliers, in both the commercial and defence sectors.

Gareth’s career highlights include working on major collaborative design projects such as the Boeing 787-900, Airbus A350-1000, and Airbus A380 Rib Remediation, as well as Lockheed Martin’s JSF, performing engineering and leadership roles, with design approval and schedule delivery responsibilities.

His recent roles have focused on providing leadership and operational support to multi disciplinary groups, in dynamic schedule driven environments, using effective communication skills to foster collaborative practices and manage multi stakeholder relationships.

His career in aviation has included secondments to the US, Europe, UK, China and NZ as a company representative to support major design reviews, final delivery and joint definition phase, as well as long term subcommands to support ongoing liaison. His travel assignments to Europe have been facilitated by his language abilities in Spanish and French (fluent).

Gareth has a bachelor’s (Hons) and master’s degree. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. He also has a passion for cycling and has competed in long distance cycling events such as the prestigious Paris-Brest-Paris quintenial 1200km.
